A Guide to Survive The Second Semester

Welcome back to the vibrant halls of VinUniversity! After a fantastic Tet Holiday filled with joy and laughter with family and friends, we are finally kicking off the second semester! So, it's time to leave behind the holiday spirit and dive back into the world of academia with renewed energy and enthusiasm. But… What if you are still not motivated enough?

That's okay – many of us are. So, shall we dive into some small tips to be back on the track as soon as possible?

First of all, many grades of the courses you took in the first semester were released. Open Canvas, and take a moment to celebrate your successes from the first semester – even if your grades meet your expectations or not! Let's cherish the hard work you put in, the challenges you overcame, and the knowledge you gained, because they are much, much more valuable than the grade itself. Reflecting on your achievements this way will probably boost your confidence and set a positive tone for the semester ahead.

You might have encountered many “study with me" videos on TikTok or YouTube, where the creators do their work on a colorful, neatly-arranged table with cute stationeries. And you are probably inspired by just looking at those setups. So, why not consider injecting some color and positive vibes into your desk? Arrange your desk with vibrant stationery, just like those creators do; inspirational quotes, and maybe even a few plants. A visually appealing space can elevate your mood and make studying a more enjoyable experience!

As you embark on this semester, remember that studying doesn't have to be a solitary journey. Reach out to your classmates, form study groups, and collaborate on assignments. Sharing can bring a fresh approach to your studies, making the learning process much more enjoyable than just writing down everything and cramming books.

Last but probably not least, don't underestimate what a healthy lifestyle can bring to you! Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial for both body and mind to stay sane and work effectively. So, on a daily basis, ensure that you're getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, and maintaining a balanced diet – I bet many of you guys opted for fast food for lunch instead of a proper lunch last semester. Physical activity is also a great way to boost your energy levels and improve concentration. Something as small as a 15-minute walk everyday will benefit you more than what you expect!

Remember, each day is an opportunity to learn, discover, and excel. Let's together create a semester filled with excitement, achievement, with the spirit of VinUniversity!

Sincerely,

VinUnians
